Prof. Dr. med. Sandra Eifert
Prof. Dr. med. Sandra Eifert is a specialist in cardiac surgery with additional certifications in gender medicine, transplant medicine, and preventive medicine.
She completed her medical studies at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, where she earned her doctorate in 1997. After an initial professional stint in the United States, she became a specialist in cardiac surgery (BLAEK, 2006) and gender medicine (2010). Both clinically and scientifically, she has focused on gender-specific differences in cardiovascular diseases, with a particular emphasis on women’s health.
Prof. Dr. Eifert currently works as a senior physician at the Heart Center of Leipzig University, where she heads the Surgical Heart Failure Outpatient Clinic and the Women’s Heart Clinic (since 2018). She is also the author of non-fiction guidebooks (C. Bertelsmann) that make her expertise on women’s heart health and the secrets of female longevity accessible to a wider readership.
