Dr. med. Torsten Albers
Sports medicine specialist, metabolism expert, nutritionist, author, coach, speaker, and former competitive athlete
About the Expert
In his youth, Dr Torsten Albers was himself an active competitive athlete in the disciplines of artistic gymnastics, athletics and martial arts. After graduating from secondary school, Dr Albers completed a doctorate in sports and nutritional medicine. The metabolism expert now has his own practice for nutritional and sports medicine (Albers Concepts GmbH) in Zurich, where he advises his patients on how to optimise their own lifestyle with measures from the fields of sport, nutrition and longevity.
His work is based on individual metabolic analyses, from which the doctor derives lifestyle interventions that build sensibly on each other. For holistic success, Dr Torsten Albers relies on an interdisciplinary approach.
Thanks to the wealth of experience he has gained during his sporting career, Dr Torsten Albers also coaches active people who want targeted support for their energy balance and who want long-term, sport-specific training management, including a nutrition plan. In this context, he has also published the book "Der LOGI-Muskelcoach" together with other experts.
