Dr. med. Mareike Awe
Dr. Mareike Awe is a physician and the founder of several e-health companies. As a mentor for intuitive eating and holistic health, she has already helped 300,000 people reach their ideal weight and achieve their health goals.
She began her medical studies in 2011 at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, where she passed her state examination in 2018 and earned her doctorate the following year. Her academic publications address specific risks associated with the postoperative phase in cardiovascular surgery. Her experiences in the highly curative-oriented daily routine of a hospital fostered her enduring interest in preventive medicine, particularly nutritional medicine.
Thus, Mareike Awe founded her first startup while still a medical student to develop coaching programs aimed at improving physical and mental health. She communicates her central theme—intuitive eating as a path to a healthy weight—through social media, a highly successful podcast, and her book published in 2019, which immediately rose to the top of the Spiegel and Amazon bestseller lists. She continues this mission today as the founder and CEO of Be Awesome GmbH.
