Bärbel Drexel Anti caries sucking tablets support your daily dental hygiene, even when you are on the go. Anticariogenic properties of the ingredients xylitol and erythritol clean, protect and maintain the teeth in good condition. Dental plaque can be reduced and the gums can be supported. Eaten after meals, they contribute to tooth mineralization and provide fresh breath with menthol.
Erythritol and Xylitol are very well researched sugar alcohols that serve as sugar substitutes. Erythritol is produced by fermentation with the help of mushrooms, xylitol is obtained from birch wood or other hardwoods and is also known as wood sugar. Both are naturally found in many vegetables and fruits such as cauliflower, plums, strawberries and raspberries.
The anti-cariogenic effects of xylitol were discovered by Finnish scientists in the early 1970s. Two clinical studies (known as Turku sugar studies) have shown a highly significant reduction in caries. Xylitol also stimulates saliva production and promotes the formation of complexes with calcium and saliva proteins in the oral cavity, which leads to a remineralization of tooth structure. Xylitol increases the pH in the oral cavity, which is a basic requirement for calcium retention in the tooth enamel.
In recent studies from 2005 to the present day, sugar alcohol erythritol has also been found to have caries-reducing activity that is even superior to that of xylitol. A major advantage of regular erythritol consumption compared to xylitol is that erythritol does not cause any digestive problems even at a dose of up to 50 g / day.
Plant extracts such as green tea extract and ratanhia root extract have anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and contracting properties due to their special polyphenol and tannin content. This can prove to be positive, especially in the case of tooth decay, inflammation of the gums and inflammation of the oral mucosa, as scientific studies have shown.
The root of the rataniha plant , which grows wild in the Peruvian Andes, is rich in tannins: extracts from the ratanhia root tighten the oral tissue and thus help to strengthen the gums.
Vitamin C is known as an important water-soluble antioxidant to protect against the attack of "free radicals". Vitamin C is u. a. necessary to maintain healthy connective tissue and gums.
Menthol made from peppermint ensures fresh breath when you eat the anti-caries lozenges and also has antibacterial properties.
