Do Selenium Complex capsules have any side effects?

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), a daily selenium intake of up to 300 µg is considered tolerable for adults, with no risk of harmful side effects. [1] When the recommended daily intake of Selenium Complex5 is followed, no side effects are therefore generally expected.

For children and adolescents aged 1 to 17 years, the tolerable daily selenium intake is lower and ranges from 60 µg to 250 µg, depending on body weight. [1] This product is therefore not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
