Do Selenium Complex capsules have any side effects?
According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), a daily selenium intake of up to 300 µg is considered tolerable for adults, with no risk of harmful side effects. When the recommended daily intake of Selenium Complex5 is followed, no side effects are therefore generally expected.
For children and adolescents aged 1 to 17 years, the tolerable daily selenium intake is lower and ranges from 60 µg to 250 µg, depending on body weight. This product is therefore not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
