Algae Calcium is plant-based calcium from mineralised red algae. The algae is called Lithothamnion. Over the years, it stores minerals from seawater in its structure. This results in a natural mineral complex. It primarily provides calcium and, in addition, some magnesium as well as traces of other minerals. Our Algae Calcium capsules contain this complex as a pure powder, without unnecessary additives.
The list of ingredients is deliberately short. It contains Aquamin TG, i.e., the calcareous seaweed Lithothamnion, with 30% calcium and 2.2% magnesium, both in carbonate form. The capsule shell is made of plant-based cellulose (HPMC). In addition, there is a small amount of cellulose as an anti-caking agent. Flavourings, colouring agents, magnesium stearate and preservatives are not included.
