Coconut blossom blossom sugar - coconut sugar in short - is a pure natural product and has a sweet, slightly caramel flavor. It can be used in exchange for regular table sugar for tea, coffee, desserts, pastries, cocktails, casseroles and other sweet foods.

Low glycemic index
A great advantage of coconut blossom sugar - compared to conventional sugar - is its very low glycemic index of 35. In contrast, cane sugar has a glycemic index of 68 and honey has a GI of 55. Coconut blossom sugar is therefore also suited for diabetics as part of their diet.

What is coconut blossom sugar made from?
Coconut sugar is not derived from the coconut, but from the nectar of the flower buds of the coconut palm. To do that, the flower bud is very finely scratched, so that the nectar can escape dropwise.
Then the juice is strained to remove possible contamination and boiled down to syrup by constantly stirring it until crystallised. After that coconut blossom sugar is dried and ground.
