I have been using Vitamin K2 for quite some time and have been doing well.
Excellent vitamin K2 well digestible and no side effects highly recommend
Notwendig bei hoher Vit D3 Dosierung (20.000 EI)
I have been taking it daily for years, in winter together with vitamin D and in summer when I am outdoors a lot, I only take K2 to prevent hardening of the arteries. My mother 83 had to have her leg arteries cleared. I don't want to have to experience that in 30 years' time.

Vitamin K2 200 µg capsules from Vitality Nutritionals contain vitamin K2 in its most natural form – bioactive all-trans MK7 – pure, stable and high-quality.
The production process is environmentally friendly, as it uses a unique, patented bio-fermentation technique, meaning that no chemicals, solvents, or synthetic processes are used.
Vitamin K2 200 µg capsules provide a convenient solution for addressing or preventing a vitamin K2 deficiency. The high dosage of 200 µg per capsule guarantees that all Gla proteins in the body are activated. This is crucial, for example, for building and maintaining normal bone health and for blood clotting.
Vitamin K2 200 µg capsules are also suitable for individuals seeking to combine their vitamin D intake with a high-quality vitamin K supplement.
*The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has scientifically examined and confirmed the functions of vitamin K in the human body:
Vitamin K2 is crucial for strong, normal bones and clean, elastic arteries. It regulates the storage and utilization of calcium in our body.
Calcium deficiency in the bones leads to a decrease in bone density. Chronic excess calcium in the arteries leads to a deposition of calcium in the vessel walls. Vitamin K2 therefore provides a double protection for bone health as well as for the blood vessels and the cardiovascular system.
Vitamin K2 activates the matrix Gla protein (MGP), which is responsible for regulating calcium in the arterial walls. MGP is the most effective inhibitory factor against vascular calcification and can only be activated by vitamin K2.
A lack of vitamin K2 can therefore lead to calcium deposits in the blood vessel walls. In fact, healthy arterial tissue typically contains significantly higher levels of K2 compared to calcified arteries.
Studies have shown that vitamin K2 is just as important as calcium and vitamin D3 for building and maintaining normal, strong bones. Vitamin D3 promotes the formation of osteocalcin, while vitamin K2 activates osteocalcin, which is responsible for storing calcium in the bones.
Insufficient vitamin K2 can result in reduced bone density, even when the intake of calcium and vitamin D3 are inadequate.
Instead, calcium is deposited in the walls of arteries and other soft tissues throughout the body. This phenomenon also explains why many elderly individuals suffer from calcified arteries while concurrently experiencing brittle, calcium-poor bones.
Recent research conducted in the Netherlands has highlighted the importance of vitamin K for the protection of elastic fibers (elastin) in the lungs. These fiber proteins, categorized as structural proteins, contribute to the elasticity of vessels, among other functions. The scientists found a certain correlation between vitamin K and elastin. The lower the vitamin K levels in the blood of test subjects, the higher the degradation rate of the fiber protein. Elastin has long been considered a valid biomarker for the state of lung function. [2]
Vitamin K is typically produced in the intestine in limited quantities, often insufficient to activate Gla proteins. Some individuals thus rely on dietary sources or vitamin K2 supplements.
Nevertheless, there is clear evidence indicating that the Western population does not ingest adequate amounts of vitamin K. Individuals over the age of 50 are particularly at risk, as their diet typically contains less vitamin K, and sun exposure, which aids in its synthesis, is often limited. This predisposes individuals to deficiencies in both vitamin K and vitamin D.
This is why Prof. Vermeer from Maastricht University recommends that people over 50 take vitamin K2 in a dosage of 100 to 200 µg per day. The higher dosage of 200 µg is particularly recommended for individuals who want to make sure that all matrix Gla proteins (MGP) in the body are activated.
For healthy individuals under the age of 50, a daily intake of 50 µg is sufficient to maintain an adequate supply of vitamin K2. If you are also taking vitamin D daily, it is recommended to consume at least 100 µg of vitamin K2 per day, although 200 µg of vitamin K2 would be even more beneficial.
Individuals taking anticoagulants or those with a blood clotting disorder should consult their doctor before using this product. The reason for this is that taking vitamin K2 could reduce the effect of coumarin-based anticoagulants.

Note: If you are taking anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications, or have a bleeding disorder, consult with your physician before taking this product. Taking vitamin K2 may reduce the effects of coagulin-based anticoagulants, so checking the coagulation factors regularly can provide information as to whether this is the case for you or not.
