Micellar Casein is a natural component of milk and is carefully filtered from full fat milk while the fat and carbohydrates (lactose) are left aside. Micellar Casein contains nearly 50% of essential amino acids (EAA) over 20% branched amino acids (BCAA), 20% of glutamine and above average 3.5% arginin, a higher-quality amino acid profile than the above-mentioned forms of casein or caseinates.
The particularly rich BCAA contained in the Micellar Casein, EAA, as well as "essential" amino acids L-arginin and L-Glutamin, have so-called anti- catabolic characteristics and are the most important amino acids for muscle protein synthesis.
