At the same time in Japan, 33 women aged from 40 to 59 participated in Tokyo, for a period of 8 weeks.

In both studies, women took either 10g of Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides or 10g of dextrins as placebo every day. Concerning the moisturizing effect, which was assessed by the measure of the cutaneous hydration, 91% of the Collagen volunteers saw their skin hydration level increased. Skin hydration level was significantly improved compared to the placebo after 8 weeks.
